Sex as a mutual creative gesture. In “Action Painting No. 1”, she responds to his movements by scratching his back and leaving blood marks. In “Action Painting No. 2”, he drips candle wax on her back during the sexual act. Both performances result in impulsive visual compositions that redefine Jackson Pollock’s sense of “literally being in the painting”.
Krefer (born 1987 in Brazil) is a filmmaker and visual artist. His works have been presented at the Transcultures/Videoformes, Loop Barcelona, Instants Vidéo, Rio de Janeiro International Short Film Festival and the Translucent solo exhibition at the Oscar Niemeyer Museum. Awards include the FICBIC International Film Festival of Curitiba Art Biennial and the La Fête du Slip Gender & Sexuality Festival. He curated the “Multiolhares” experimental & video art section at the Olhar de Cinema – Curitiba International Film Festival in 2012-2014. Turca (born 1989 in Brazil) is a production designer and art assistant for feature films and video art works. The Action Painting series is her debut as a director.
