Catherine Robbe-Grillet, age 85, defies the relations between power and submission, sensuality and physical pain. She surrounds herself with brilliant characters, depicting complex lives on the other side of social conventional boundaries. Catherine also writes sadomasochistic novels under her pseudonym Jeanne De Berg.
